Maps and Directions
Feb 10 – Feb 12 2018 is a 3-day long weekend in Japan, celebrating the National Fundation Day of Japan. As Okinawa is a top travel destination, you may experience some slight difficulty in hotel reservation.
However, there are still many hotels available during the conference period and we would like to provide you with some information and tips regarding hotel reservation.
Option 1: Rent a car at Naha Airport and book your hotel anywhere in Okinawa
Car rental is relatively cheap in Okinawa and you can rent a car at Naha Airport.
Oversea participants from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Korea can drive in Japan with a valid Foreign Driver’s License and International Driving Permit.
Option 2: Book your hotel in Naha city
There is a periodic bus (Bus #32 or #43 Convention Center LINE) serving between Naha Bus Terminal (Okinawa Urban Monorail: Asahibashi Station 旭橋駅) and Okinawa Convention Center. The total travel time (bus ride) time is about 35 mins and fare is 530YEN. The Conference Venue is only about 5 minutes walk from the Okinawa Convention Center. With this, you may consider book a hotel anywhere in Naha City with convenient access to Okinawa Urban Monorail. Hotels near Asahibashi Station (旭橋駅), Prefectural Office Station (県庁前駅) and Tsubogawa Station (壺川駅) are particularly convenient for access to the Naha Bus Terminal (Asahibashi Station 旭橋駅).
